Student assessment system remains controversial

There is one overarching problem in NUS when it comes to the grading of students: a dire lack of transparency.

	With increasing modernization, Chinese New Year has also lost some of its old-school flavor and is being infused with a more urbane edge.		Tourism does not corrupt or erode Lao society. Rather, when an outside influence like tourism presents itself, Laos adapts, just like it adapted to colonialism, international trade and the demands of its climate.

	It is not surprising that Shih Choon Fong announced a freeze in tuition fees for the next academic year in the president’s circular.		The NUS Students’ Union is not the organization that some students think does nothing.
